I do all my estate planning on a flat fee basis. I have packages for individuals and for couples:
Flat Fee Schedule for Individuals
If you don’t need a full package but just need some updates or want items “a la carte,” then we can figure out the scope of the work and I will quote you a flat fee. It won’t exceed the cost of a full package.
Here’s how the process works:
The following steps are all included as part of the flat fee.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
$250 flat fee (counted as paid toward an estate planning package)
1.5 hours
Goals: answer your questions, give you information
In person at my office or by Zoom
Complete an estate planning questionnaire as best as you can and bring it to the meeting:
Step 2: Fee Agreement & Payment
I open your file and prepare a fee agreement
You sign the fee agreement and pay the flat fee
Step 3: Drafts
I prepare drafts.
Timeline for drafts: 3 weeks from date of signing the fee agreement and paying the flat fee.
Depending on your needs and my case load, I can prepare drafts more quickly if needed, such as in the event of an illness
Step 4: Revisions
You let me know questions or changes and I make revisions.
You can e-mail me or we can meet again or talk on the phone to go over drafts. It’s all included in the flat fee.
Step 5: Signing Meeting
Once the drafts are exactly how you would like them, you come into my office for a formal Will/Trust signing meeting
I process the signed documents
I priority mail you the original signed and however many hard copies you would like. I also provide you a PDF.
Timeline for mailing originals and copies to you: One week after signing meeting.
